Textures of the Mind:
A Journey through Artboydancing's World
Stephan White (aka: Artboydancing) explores the borders of visual and non-verbal art through the mediums of sculpture, collage, and painting. Born in 1973, he now divides his time between New York City and Berlin, drawing inspiration from each city's distinct character and creative vibe. He received his MFA from SUNY Albany State University in 2004.
As an artist born with Autism, ADHA, Dyslexia, Synesthesia, and several other cognitive learning disabilities, Stephan engages art making as a liberating, non-speaking medium, one that enables him to express experiences in detail – the smells, noises, sensations, the distractions associated with a thought, a situation, or an idea.

"For me, the creative process of letting out and letting go is a way to handle a sword without getting cut. "

Also what you will find in my work the use of recycled materials such as cardboard, fabrics, jars, tin cans, books, magazines, and etc… are use throughout my work. As there are so much amazing things people throw away and by creating with these materials it tells the viewer, “Don’t throw that jar away use it for a plant to bring more oxygen into your space of living.”
